Welcome to the CHUMS
website. We hope that you find the site useful and helpful
whether you are a child or family member for whom someone special
has died or a professional supporting bereaved children.
The website will evolve over time and any thoughts you have
on it will be very useful to us in its development.
CHUMS supports bereaved children and families in Bedfordshire
following the death of someone special in their lives. The service
has a full time service manager, a full time family care co-ordinator and part time administrator. The
core of the work is carried out by a team of volunteers who
come from all parts of the county who are all trained by the
service in loss and grief and how best to support bereaved children
and their families. They are a very committed and dedicated
team.
We hope that our website will enable people to access support
and information much more quickly and that it will also result in
us being able to support many more families and children in
Bedfordshire who require bereavement support. |
